I was a 40-something accountant who was downsized (fired) one too many times. After the last company I worked for went under in 2001, I hit the road with my Minolta and haven't looked back. I was a 40-something accountant who was downsized (fired) one too many times. After the last company I worked for went under in 2001, I hit the road with my Minolta and haven't looked back. (Of course, I am single - a wife would have sent me right back into the trenches!) Upgrading to digital SLR's along the way, I have visited every one of the lower 48 states, been to every major league baseball park and close to 100 minor league parks, and driven the entire length of old Route 66. These milestones provided a convenient excuse to visit and photograph both big cities and small towns, majestic national parks and cheesy roadside attractions, and an opportunity to meet a ton of nice people in all parts of this great country.
Finally able to do something creative after 20 years behind a desk, I don't see my photography slowing down any time soon. As a result, my photos will continue to pile up at an alarming rate, and I will try to park some of the best ones here, especially those photos that can be enjoyed as decorative wall art. I hope you will give my portfolio the once-over. The outdoor images of the West and Southwest are of the sort that would have provided some comfort back when I was chained to a desk, and the Route 66 images are just a lot of fun.
A heartfelt thanks goes out to the folks who now display my art in their homes and offices. I would love to hear from you, so drop me a line through the site itself, or at my Facebook Photography Page:
